About ClayTea

ClayTea is an independent Chinese tea shop. We buy loose-leaf black, green, oolong, white and pu-erh teas directly at origin — Yunnan, Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong — and ship every order straight from the source with duties prepaid, so your tea arrives weeks after harvest instead of aging in a distributor's warehouse.

The name comes from clay: the material of Yixing and Jianshui teapots, the humble unglazed pots Chinese tea has been brewed in for centuries. It is also how we think about tea — down to earth. No gatekeeping, no mystery-blend marketing, and the harvest date printed on every label.
